When I first learned I would be moving abroad with my young children, I became a sponge soaking up other people’s stories of living overseas. I knew I wanted to document our journey, not only for our family and friends, but to share our experiences of raising kids in multiple cultures, across time zones and through all chapters of childhood.

Parenting abroad is rarely a solo act—it’s shaped by neighbors, teachers, and communities that see the world differently than we do. First Time Living Abroad with my family:
Our family took the road less traveled and have spent the better part of the last decade living abroad, first in Cartagena, Colombia and now in Seoul, South Korea. I always knew that traveling captivated me, and I hoped to give my children that same adventurous spirit. But living abroad has brought us something far better, the chance to explore the world together.
I have grown to love a life with lots of diversity, both in people and places. Getting the opportunity to live many different lifestyles and take the best of each place and culture with us is a definite perk.
If variety is the spice of life, then there is no better lifestyle than a roving expat.
