Going Home…

There is one very magical thing that happens when you leave home for an extended period of time, you get to come home! The anticipation is almost as good as the event itself.

For weeks now, we have been talking about who we want to see, what we want to do and the places we want to visit. The thrill of being in the airport at Christmas and knowing you are about to be hugged so tightly because you were missed so dearly. It is unlike any other feeling, it is belonging.

I can’t wait for my children to experience coming home. I have left “home” several times in my life and I can say from experience, there is nothing in the world like coming home. So we are off to finish packing our bags and getting our airplane backpacks all loaded with goodies, my kids will be expert travelers in no time!
